Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: "Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done," declares the LORD. "I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing," declares the LORD," Jer. 23:1-4 Pursuant to the corruption of the local false teachers who claim to be Christian leaders, we are claiming new pastors & bodies of believers are coming to Davis, Ca. God's true church will join us in taking a bold stand for Jesus Christ, spread the gospel in all public forums, & take a stand against the lies, conspiracies, & death threats oppressing Christians & others in Davis. My name is Joe Sherman, & my spiritual gifts are evangelism & youth leading. I am praying for a new body of Christ in Davis due to the lack of bold, honest, trustworthy, legitimate, & faithful church leaders in town, & fact that the local city leaders & officials, as well as many members of churches, & church leaders, have become corrupt, failing to halt the hate crimes, despite their full knowledge of these crimes; they have acquiesced to, & in many instances are directly participating in, the oppression. The city of Davis has become a giant cult; everyone talks in codes to avoid admitting the truth of the conspiracy & oppression & in attempt to cover it up; many are attempting to facilitate a very real plot of murder against myself & of hate against others. Those who attempt to spread the Word of God in certain public forums, such as shopping centers, are harassed, kidnapped, & are victims of death plots. God is taking these corrupt conspirators away & establishing the righteous in the land

CREED We are evangelical, following God "who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim 2:4); We profess the Nicene Creed: I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end. We are committed to the following principles & conduct:

• BOLDLY PROCLAIM THE WORD OF CHRIST IN THE COMMUNITY
  Paul "reasoned & argued with them from the Scriptures" (Acts 17:2). Jesus said to "go & make disciples," Matt 28:19. Proclaim the Word, in the public forums, & make use of the resources God has blessed us with to defend our rights & ensure our liberties. Paul said to fight with weapons in the right hand & in the left (2 Cor. 6:7). The Puritans came to America to have freedom of religion; American soldiers fought & died so that we could speak freely & worship the God of the Bible. We dare not give up these rights out of cowardice, love of comfort, or "fear of offending!"
  We have unequivocal & unprecedented legal & civil rights protections from God; for ex.:
  (1) The Ca. Constitution, Art. I Sec. 2 provides more than a protection against infringement, it is an "explicit grant of right!...Our California Constitution provides greater, not lesser, protection for this traditional form of free speech," Gerawan Farming, Inc. v. Lyons (2000) 24 Cal. 4th 468:
  (2) "Annoyance & inconvenience is a small price to pay for our most precious right!" Carreras v. City of Anaheim (9th Cir 1985) 768 F. 2d 1039, 1046
  (3) "Principal function of free speech under our system of government is to invite dispute; it may indeed best serve its high purpose when it induces condition of unrest, creates dissatisfaction with conditions as they are, or even stirs people to anger," Texas v. Johnson, U.S. Tex. (1989) 109 S.Ct. 2533, 491 U.S. 367, 105 L.Ed.2d 342
  (4) "Where an entire statute in general terms infringes on the constitutional right of free speech, the statute will be stricken down in its entirety," Ex Parte Blaney (1947) 184 P.2d 892, 30 C2d 643
  (5) "A person who refuses to consider her or himself bound by 'time, place and manner' restrictions, or who violates one or more particular restriction, does not necessarily commit the criminal offense defined by Penal Code section 602.1 [interference with business]...the refusal to comply does not constitute misdemeanor trespass unless it consists of intentional interference with the landowner's business through the obstruction or intimidation of its customers," Hamburg v. • TAKE A BOLD STAND AGAINST OPPRESSION WITHOUT DELAY
  Be bold & courageous (Josh 1:6, 2 Tim 1:7); talk like men & act like men (1 Cor. 16:13), rather than lying, sniveling cowards who participate in the oppression & talk in codes out of fear. We live godly lives, being examples of Christ-like character, telling the truth (Eph 4:15) & exposing the deeds of darkness & the hidden plots against the innocent (Eph 5:11, 2 Cor 4:2). Defend the rights of victims today; those who are aware of injustice & oppression against a neighbor & willfully choose to wait or delay rather than provide justice at once are rebelling against & in defiance of God's Word, proving their motives are deceptive: "Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, 'Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow' � when you now have it with you. Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you," Prov. 3:27-29. "These also are sayings of the wise: To show partiality in judging is not good: Whoever says to the guilty, 'You are innocent'� peoples will curse him and nations denounce him. But it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and rich blessing will come upon them," Prov. 24:23-25.



• CLAIM AUTHORITY OVER DAVIS IN THE NAME OF JESUS & TAKE BACK THE LAND
  Claim & walk in the authority we have as Christians over the land, & possess it (Luke 10:19); we are taking back the land for Christ (Josh 1:3). Davis has been a stronghold of Satan; with a witch as mayor from 1997-1999, & famous for being "America's first pro-choice city;" we are putting an end to the Satanic reign, & based on God's Word, we are claiming Davis for Jesus. Furthermore, those such as myself attempting to spead the Word of Christ have suffered years of almost unbearable oppression, including being held hostage for more than 2 years in jail when everyone knew I was innocent, banishment from 1000 acres of the community, more than 60 false arrests & kidnappings despite my innocence proven in courts of law & despite pillars of the community testifying to my good name, a conspiracy robbing me of work, a place to live, liberty, & property. "A wise man scales the city walls & destroys the foundation of the city" (Prov 21:22). Furthermore, God is using the years of persecution for the name of Christ that I have suffered to justify taking back the land from the heathen (1 Thess 2:16). We are making Davis a mecca for evangelism for Christ. Furthermore, those who have committed crimes are being displaced; God is taking away their land, possessions, property, & right to live in the community, & giving it to faithful believers from within the community & other regions, & to other good people (Ps 37:9,10,20,29). God is also taking away the liberty of many of them; they are being arrested & taken to jail



• REFORM THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN DAVIS
  Regional "church leaders" are false leaders; they fail to speak out against the oppression, which has been occurring for more than 11 years, & has been public knowledge for more than 8 years, & furthermore as of 2003 subtley escalated into a calculated death plot, with their full knowledge. These false church leaders have directly participated: Code of silence & lying; winking & nodding at the plots of the conspirators & in some instances they have directed these plots; they have participated in the false accusations & false arrests & kidnap, & or threats of these, publicly defaming innocent citizens. They & many of their congregation members have participated in plots to isolate me, keep me from working & having income, & manipulate & control my income & career through conspiracy. They twist the Scriptures to brainwash their congregations. For ex., they claim Christians can participate in & orchestrate 2-year captivity of me, multiple kidnappings of me under guise of legal action, & plots of deprivation of my income, & it's their "salt," pursuant to Matt. 5 ("You are the salt of the earth;" see also Mk. 9:50). These false leaders claim having salt in you means you should commit crimes & tell lies; it shows you're a real person. But this is totally contrary to the biblical meaning of salt: Salt is a seasoning & preservative; Christians, through our righteousness & refusal to participate in crimes & deceptions, are attractive to nonbelievers (seasoning); & through standing up for law & order, speading the Word of God, & having godly values in a community, we act to protect people & preserve a community's prosperity. "Salt" Scripture in context:
  
  "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
  
  The Scripture makes it clear, from the context, our salt comes from:
  (1) Refusal to participate in wickedness, crimes, & lies, to the point of persecution! Righteousness is attractive to heathen when we demonstrate it is worth suffering for; it gives them hope. People claiming to be Christians who forfeit their righteousness, are worthless to God & men;
  (2) Being a part of the community & spreading the Word: Christians who hide their light, refusing to be a part of the community, & failing to witness for Christ, are unable to act as a preservative of the community; they deprive the community of godly values & the truths of God's Word!
  I am the only one evangelising in town, & these false leaders are some of those persecuting me! Members of University Covenant Church have isolated themselves from the community for 12 years, they never show up at the town council meetings, the Fridays at Five entertainment, the Farmers' Markets, shopping centers, or community events. None of the churches or members evangelize in public in Davis; at the shopping centers, Farmers' Markets, or on the street corners.
  
  The Bible never justifies meddling, much less lying & committing crimes: "If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler; 1 Pet 4:15; "A false witness will perish, and whoever listens to him will be destroyed forever," Prov. 21:28; liars & murderers won't live out half their days, Ps. 55:23. These false teachers redefine the Scriptures to accomplish wicked deeds, & deceive their congregations to do the same.
  
  At least 2 of these pastors are already gone from the community. Our goals include bringing to justice both Christians & non-Christians who have committed crimes; & effecting the repentance &/or disciplining of Christians who have participated or failed to halt the oppression

• REDEFINE THE GOALS OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN DAVIS
  The Bible says the "The battle belongs to the Lord," 1 Sam 17:47, but we have to at least show up for the battle. In Matt 16:18, Jesus defined our principle battlefield: "I will build my church, & the gates of hell will not prevail." In modern terms, we are to go to "the gates of hell;" where the sinners are, & fight the spiritual battles for their souls. The local "church leaders" have totally failed to show up for the battle, & they have allowed & participated in persecution of men of God who are doing battle & winning souls for Christ! Most Davis church leaders & members regularly claim that we might offend them if we spread the Word, especially because it is a predominantly liberal/atheist town, & therefore they have categorically neglected preading the Word for years, & they moreover criticize those who do; but Jesus was "a stone of stumbling & a rock of offense" (1 Pet 2:8)! I agree that while heated debate is essential & indispensable at times, our motive must be love (Eph 4:15); we must show respect & courtesy to everyone, & I have had hundreds & hundreds of people, both Christian & non-Christian affirm that my style & method are professional, with tact, & respectful. The Bible tells us the message of Christ will be offensive to many unbelievers, but this fact isn't to detour us from spreading the Word!



• CALL UPON THE UNFAITHFUL LOCAL BELIEVERS & ALL BELIEVERS TO REPENT
  We are calling on professing believers in Davis to repent, & those in other regions who have participated, to repent, renounce the lies, the codes, & the conspiracy; call the authorities & demand the arrest of those who have been directly involved. Local church leaders (& any others) who have participated in, or failed to halt, the oppression must repent & follow God's Word. The Bible doesn't leave this as an option: Don't fail to stand up for justice & say you haven't heard about it (Prov 24:11,12); don't take away a career from a citizen, don't kidnap or sell into slavery a citizen (Deut 24:6,7); don't go along with a crowd in doing evil, & stay far away from a false accusation (Ex 23:1-3,6-8)
